The gate valve is used to stop the medium, when fully opened, the whole current flow through and at this moment the pressure loss of the medium flow is the least. Generally, the gate valve is suitable for such working conditions that it requires infrequent opening or closing, and the flashboard is kept fully open or fully closed. It is not suitable to regulate or throttle the fluid. According to the sealing element type, gate valves are usually classified into several types, including: wedge gate valves,parallel gate valves, double disk parallel gate valves, double disk wedge gate valves, etc.. The most commonly used types are wedge gate valve and parallel gate valve. According to different materials, gate valves can be classified into cast iron gate valves, cast steel gate valves, forging steel gate valves, stainless steel gate valves and so on.
