The globe valve is a valve where its closure member moves along the valve seat centre line. Because the seat ring and the disc are easy to fix, or there is no need to remove the whole valve from the pipeline when replacing the sealing element, the globe valve is very suitable in the situation where the valve is welded to the pipeline. The commonly used globe valves are: angle stop valves, oblique globe valves and plunger globe valves.
